Summer Event 2024
🎉 A Summer Evening to Remember – Our Fourth Anniversary Event! 🌟
On 23rd August 2024, we rolled out the red carpet (okay, maybe just a metaphorical one) for our special summer event at the gallery! Not only were we celebrating four fabulous years of the Two Faced Twins Gallery, we also unveiled our latest masterpieces – Eastbourne Pier, Salvington Windmill, and the iconic Sycamore Tree near Hadrian’s Wall.
The evening kicked off at 7pm, and it was a night full of artwork, laughter, and music!
Eastbourne Pier – Our Colourful New Addition
We just had to show Eastbourne Pier some love! It’s iconic, packed with intricate details, and honestly, it was calling out to be turned into art.
Stella zeroed in on the gorgeous architectural details (because who doesn’t love a bit of Victorian charm?), while Gemma went all out with bold, bright pinks, blues, greens, and yellows. The end result? A piece that bursts with seaside vibes and pure happiness.
The Sycamore Tree – A Bittersweet Tribute
After the heartbreak of losing this national treasure, we knew we had to create something timeless. This piece feels like a little slice of the Sycamore tree lives on in people’s homes. Inspired by one of our all-time favourite countryside scenes (our ‘Escape to the Country’ Cissbury Ring scene), this artwork is our way of celebrating the beauty of nature and preserving its memory.
Salvington Windmill – Inspired by Little Artists
We’ve had Salvington Windmill on our creative radar for ages, but inspiration struck in the most unexpected way – at a school visit! Seeing the children’s stunning Two Faced Twins-inspired artwork (featuring Salvington Windmill) gave us the nudge we needed to finally make it happen. The result? A piece that’s as charming as the kids who inspired it!
Introducing… Extra Small Prints!
We launched a brand-new size of Two Faced Twins artwork – the extra small (A4-ish) print. These little beauties come fully framed with anti-reflective glass, and they’re available for under £200. They’re cute, collectible, and perfect for anyone looking to start (or expand) their Two Faced Twins collection!
Deckchairs, Anyone?
Yes, you read that right – Two Faced Twins deckchairs are here! We couldn’t be more excited to see our art bringing joy to gardens, patios, and maybe even a sunny spot on the beach. Comfy, stylish, and undeniably TFT, they’re perfect for lounging in style.
A Peek Inside Our Creative Process
We had our sketchbooks on display during the event, giving everyone a peek into the creative process behind our new artworks. They were a real hit! Guests loved flipping through Stella’s detailed black-and-white sketches and then diving into Gemma’s vibrant, colour-filled pages. It was like seeing two sides of the same story come to life!
A Signed Thank You for Our Collectors
As a heartfelt thank you to everyone who’s supported us over the years, we gifted each collector who attended the event a signed mini print of our Eastbourne Pier black-and-white illustration. It was lovely to see so many of you walk away with a little piece of the evening to remember.
We’re so grateful for all your continued support – whether it’s popping by the gallery, sharing your love for our art, or showing up to events like this. Here’s to another year of creativity, community, and (hopefully) sunshine!
Love Stella, Gemma, and the TFT team!
